It is located at the intersection of Churchville Avenue (Route 250) and Thornrose Avenue in Staunton.

The Luray Zoo offers animal shows, a petting zoo, a jungle, and a gift shop. There are over 120 exhibits of wild birds and animals, including one of the best reptile collections around. Heritage Oaks Golf Course is a beautifully maintained municipal course, owned by the City of Harrisonburg and designed by William Love. The Par 70 layout is a challenge for golfers of all abilities and ages and presents a diverse styling of its 18 holes of golf. There are links-style holes, as well as traditional, tree-lined holes. Each hole offers four sets of tees with overall distances ranging from 4,542 yards to 6,324 yards.

The area’s only private country club offers lush 18 holes of golf, practice facilities, six tennis courts (including 4 clay courts), a swimming pool, and a clubhouse.  The Par 72 golf course was built in 1926 and features gently rolling hills with views of the valley.  The clubhouse has a restaurant and lounge for members and banquet facilities for events up to 250 guests.

Lakeview Golf Club offers two courses to meet the needs of various golfers. The Mountainview is the most challenging course, and it provides golfers with wonderful vistas, strategically placed bunkers, demanding water hazards, and subtle undulating greens. The Lakeview course is very walker-friendly and provides tight rolling fairways, many greenside bunkers, and challenging greens. Lakeview Golf Club also offers membership packages, with unlimited greens fees and use of the driving range, along with other incentives and discounts.

Packsaddle Ridge Golf Club is a public 18-hole golf course rated by 4.5 stars by Golf Digest. The course is a mountain course with elevation changes that challenges all skill levels. It offers stunning views and scenic wildlife – you can see all the way to West Virginia from the 13th green! There are practice facilities, including three levels of grass tee boxes on the driving range, practice sand trap and putting-chipping green. Golf membership packages are also available, including cart privileges and payment plans.

Massanutten Resort offers two challenging golf course options. The Mountain Greens Golf Course opened in 1976. It is an 18-hole championship design, offering breathtaking views. Mountain Greens Golf Course closes each winter season, and all play is directed to Woodstone Meadows Golf Course. 
Woodstone Meadows Golf Course opened in 1998, with a layout providing an 18-hole, par 65 course consisting of nine par 3s, seven par 4s, and two par 5s. Woodstone is a diverse golf course catering to novice golfers while offering ample challenges for experts. Massanutten Resort also offers public golf memberships.

Shenvalee Golf Club is one of the oldest continually operating courses in the Shenandoah Valley. It features 27 PGA holes on three separate 9-hole courses. The “Olde Course” first opened to the public in 1927. Bobby Jones performed the honor of opening the course and it still maintains its original design. A “back nine” was added in 1964 and additional holes were created in 1992, forming today’s “Creek Course” and “Miller Course.” Public memberships are available that include unlimited greens fees and reduced cart rentals.

The Club at Ironwood is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by William F. Gordon in 1967. The course offers rolling hills and beautiful vistas. The par 71 course can be played from five sets of tee markers, from the Black Tees at 6,600 yards to the Junior Tees for young golfers. The Club at Ironwood also offers an all-natural grass practice range, putting green, a short-game practice area, and practice bunker.
