Joe Ulmer is a lifelong Shenandoah Valley resident, local business owner, entrepreneur, and REALTOR® with a strong background in agriculture, retail, operations management, property ownership, and commercial development. His experience owning rental properties and participating in commercial development inspired him to pursue a career in real estate. Today, Joe serves real estate clients throughout the Shenandoah Valley, with a particular focus on commercial real estate.

As the owner and operator of Overlook Produce, Bakery & Deli, Joe leads a team of approximately 40 employees and oversees daily operations, purchasing, distribution, and strategic growth initiatives. His entrepreneurial journey began at just 14 years old when he started farming. Since then, he has built a successful, diversified agribusiness rooted in hard work, innovation, business leadership, and a strong connection to the local community. 

Joe brings his extensive business experience and practical knowledge to his work as a REALTOR®. His firsthand understanding of business operations, property ownership, commercial development, and the local economy provides valuable insight for clients buying, selling, or evaluating real estate opportunities.

As a Shenandoah Valley REALTOR®, Joe is committed to providing knowledgeable, straightforward service and helping his clients make informed real estate decisions. His deep roots in the community and experience as a local business owner allow him to understand the unique needs of individuals, families, investors, and business owners throughout the region.

Joe serves on the board at Parkview Federal Credit Union and is an active member of Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church.  He is dedicated to serving his community both professionally and personally. Outside of real estate and business, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and fishing.
