Kemper Funkhouser has been elected Chair of the Commonwealth of Virginia Real Estate Board. The Board is the licensing authority and regulatory body for all real estate licensees in Virginia. It oversees the enforcement of license law, regulations, and approval of education courses. Members of the nine-person board are appointed by the Governor to serve a four-year term. Each July the board elects a Chair and Vice Chair.
“I am honored to be selected by my fellow board members to serve as the Chair”, said Kemper. “In addition to routine hearings on licensed activity, our board is in the process of reviewing the real estate regulations and making recommendations to the Governor”.
