Sal Romero REALTOR

Sal Romero Jr. has lived in Harrisonburg for 30 years and is passionate about this community. He has extensive knowledge of the City both as a longtime resident and a member of City Council. Sal works as the Director of Equity and Community Engagement for Harrisonburg City Public Schools, and is very active in the community as a member of the Welcoming Harrisonburg Council, Scholars Latino Initiative Advisory Council, and COSPU. In 2018, Sal was elected as the first Latino to Harrisonburg City Council and is currently serving as Vice Mayor.

As an educator and community leader, Sal works to improve the lives of those who live in the Harrisonburg community, and he brings that same service mindset to his role as a Realtor. He has recognized a gap in educational real estate opportunities and resources for diverse communities in the Shenandoah Valley, and he wants to ensure all people are provided the knowledge and resources regarding the home purchase/selling process in order to be informed as they make one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

As a Realtor, Sal combines his desire to empower others with his extensive community connections to provide his clients with a home buying or selling experience that is based on trust and a deep knowledge of the City and real estate. Clients will appreciate that Sal has a sincere interest in them and creates a personal connection, guiding them through the entire process.

Sal migrated with his family to the United States from Mexico at the age of 13 as a non-English speaker. He graduated from Broadway High School and has degrees from Blue Ridge Community College, James Madison University, and Shenandoah University. He and his wife, Maria, live in Harrisonburg with their two children, Dani and Jacky, and a dog, Peanut. They enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, and family movie nights.


Sal Romero Jr. ha vivido en Harrisonburg durante 30 años y es muy apasionado por su comunidad. Tiene un amplio conocimiento de la ciudad, porque ha vivido desde hace mucho tiempo aquí y es miembro del concejo municipal. Sal trabaja como director de equidad y participación comunitaria para las escuelas públicas de la ciudad de Harrisonburg, y es muy activo en la comunidad como miembro del Welcoming Harrisonburg Council, Scholars Latino Initiative Advisory Council y COSPU. En el 2018, Sal fue elegido como el primer latino en el concejo municipal de Harrisonburg y actualmente se desempeña como vicealcalde.

Como educador y líder comunitario, Sal trabaja para mejorar las vidas de quienes viven en la comunidad de Harrisonburg y aporta esa misma mentalidad de servicio a su papel como agente de bienes raíces. Él ha reconocido que hay una necesidad en las oportunidades y los recursos educativos de bienes raíces para comunidades diversas en el Valle de Shenandoah, y quiere asegurarse de que todas las personas reciban el conocimiento y los recursos con respecto al proceso de compra / venta de viviendas para estar informados mientras toman una de las las decisiones financieras más importantes de sus vidas.
