Mattias Clymer REALTOR

Internationally born, Mattias developed a love for diverse architecture early on, spending his summer seasons in the Swiss Alps with his grandparents. From Fall to Spring, Mattias grew up in Harrisonburg, which afforded him a unique understanding of the Shenandoah Valley throughout different stages of life. His mother’s Swiss influence encouraged hospitality, work ethic, and a taste for fine chocolates while his father, a Spanish Professor, taught the significance of culture and interdependence. Mattias is fluent in German, Swiss-German, and is currently building on his Spanish base.

As a child, Mattias attended both private and public schools and was raised surrounded by family and friends in the real estate construction industry, likely where the love of what would be his future real estate profession began.

While working in the construction industry Mattias attended Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) graduating with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Upon graduation he worked for Crossroads Counseling Center in the Mental Health/Counseling field.

Mattias is married to Erica and currently resides downtown Harrisonburg. During their free time, Mattias and Erica enjoy the outdoors: hiking, camping, grilling, and running with their miniature Aussie-doodle, Char. Mattias and Erica recently enjoyed the process of buying their first home, which is where Mattias discovered his love for real estate.

Passionate about the mission to help clients find a house where they can build memories that will make it a home, it was inevitable Mattias would gravitate toward a career in the real estate profession.
